Welcome Students to the 2007-2008 school year!

Yeah, you heard right. Summer is almost over! I thought it would be appropriate to dedicate my first Fashion & Celebrity blog to this years must-haves for the upcoming school year, and it looks like I’m just in time! My goal is to aim at all the age groups and get everyone a fair amount of information. Remember, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me!

I remember I was that girl who would wear way to much make-up & was always sporting a scary hair cut. It seems that all kids want to do is be accepted, and it causes a lot of people to become followers. Trends are guidelines, not fashion laws. It’s okay to change a trend and make it more you. Doing your own thing gives a lot of character and let’s you stand out in a crowd of peers. Besides, everyone loves to be a role model, so why not start with your fashion choices?

Girls; This season, skirts are the new pants. And for those of you thinking “But I don’t look good in skirts!” just relax. No matter your shape, taste or style is there is a skirt (or two) out there with your name written all over it! For a more classy look, try a fitted knee-length skirt with some heels. Or feeling more funky? There’s always a mini with some retro colored leggings. For all your fashion problems- Skirts are the solution.

Try These:

Boys; One of the hot items for guys is the messenger bag. Yes, boys- A man purse. Now, before you stop reading, here me out. A messenger bag is just like a cooler back pack. And it dresses up even the most simple outfit! They fit comfortably over the should, and if you don’t get at least one compliment a day from the ladies, then they must be blind! (messenger bags are uni-sex and look great on girls too!)

Try These:

Tip #1;Make-up. Make sure that when you’re getting ready for school in the morning, you stick to a very natural look. Don’t come off too heavy and leave the dark blue eye shadow for the hot party that everyones talking about. Dark make-up during the day can be uncomfortable and distracting. Keep it simple. I suggest you use a beige cover up and a nice shade a pink lipgloss :]

Tip #2;Facial hair. Yeah, Jake Gyllenhaal can pull it off, but boys, let’s please try and act like we care a little bit about hygene and not get too carried away! Looking clean cut can is a great way to show people you care. And besides, a clean face is the best accesory to ANY outfit!
