1. How much shampoo and conditioner should you use?

You need an amount the size of a walnut of each. Any more than that is too much. On a side note, using conditioner on your scalp because it affects the oil produced up there. So you should only be conditioning the middle & ends of your hair. Shampooing is extremely important because it will safely clean your scalp without stripping your hair of its natural oils.

2. Should you wash and condition your hair every day?

Wash your hair every 2-3 days. Washing it every day, once again, strips your hair of its natural oils. Those oils are what will give you healthy and shiny hair…so take care of them. Better yet, styling your hair will be much easier if you only wash it every couple of days. Tip: if your hair feels very greasy between washings, just give it a little heat from your blow-dryer to freshen it up a bit.

3. What’s the difference between drug store shampoo and salon shampoo?

Salon shampoo is made from more expensive ingredients. Drug store shampoo is made from cheaper ingredients. That is the main difference between the two. Obviously, that is why it is cheaper to buy your shampoo from the drug store than from a salon.
