Teenagers should know that Planning is extremely important for a first date. Your plan should be simple and definite. If you don’t know your date very well, then be careful not to plan out something elaborate. The whole point of the first date is to get to know your date and find out if you would like to go for a second date or not. Select a location where the two of could talk peacefully without being interrupted but you have to be careful not a select a very secluded place.

Never take a first date to a party that your friends are organizing. Since your date does not know anyone he/she would feel awkward. So, plan out an activity that the two of you can enjoy together. Avoid going for a movie on a first date as it does not allow you have a conversation with your date. If you go out for a coffee or dinner you could get to know your date better.

Teens should be careful not to go overboard while dressing for their first date. The key is to appear comfortable and look nice; not to appear as if you are trying too hard. Do not plan a first date which will last more than three hours. First dates can be amazing, exciting but at times it can be painful too. Keeping a date short will give you an excuse to run away from misery if needed. If the date goes well, your date would want to see you again soon.

Who pays for the first date? On the first date whoever asks for the date should offer to pay. If you decide to continue seeing each other then the rule of alternate payments during subsequent dates should be followed.
