Some teenagers like blind dates because it gives them an opportunity to meet new people. Other teenagers try to avoid blind dates altogether because they think blind dates are always bad. It all depends on the teen’s attitude. If teens are willing to take a chance, blind dates can open up a whole new world of people who you might not come across otherwise. Those teens who give blind dates a chance are bound to be excited and nervous too.

Teens should be careful that the excitement of the first date does not cause them to make unsafe choices. If you are meeting someone for the first time, make sure that you do it in a public place like a café-joint. Pick a high traffic time of the day like lunch hour. Never have that person pick you up at home. Do not give out any personal information unless you have met that person and trust them completely.

Teenagers might think that it sounds silly but it is better to play safe than to regret later on. Always play it safe on the first blind date. Never agree to meet at the other person’s house; instead pick a public place. Inform your friends where you are going, what time you are meeting that person and by what time your date will get over. Ask a friend of yours to call you up during the date to ensure that you are safe. If you feel uncomfortable at any point make an excuse and leave immediately. Remember you are meeting this person for the first time and you can’t be too safe
