When a teenager has been unsuccessful with his/ her crush then it is very easy to get depressed and disappointed. Almost everyone suffers from rejection at least once in their life. No matter how embarrassing and horrible it feels at that time it is important to remember that it is temporary. Some teens make the mistake of becoming mad at that person who doesn’t have the same feelings. This is a wrong way to go about it. Do not become bitter; it’s just that the person is not the right one for you. Following are some ways to get over your crush.
If someone rejects you, it obviously means that you are not his/her choice. That person does not have any interest in wanting to be with you. Would you want to be with someone who feels that way about you?
Please do take rejection personally. When someone rejects you there could be hundreds of reasons- Maybe he/ she is not ready for a commitment, Has a mate already and is in serious relationship, likes/loves someone else, too busy with his own life or family issues, has had a bad break-up recently, or maybe you are not his type; it could be anything which not necessarily has anything much to do with you. Therefore you should not take rejection personally. Maybe it’s just not meant to be.
Another way could be to think of something negative about that person. When you manage to find flaws then you would realize that you want to stay away from that person. You would reconsider what in the first place made you have a crush on a loser like him and have a laugh about it.
Crushes come and go and you do have to take things seriously. Very soon you would have a crush on someone else, someone much more special, and happily you would be dating that person.
