According to teenagers flirting isn’t obvious. If a teen is upfront about him/her desire to date ot have sex with someone , this cannot be called flirting. In a flirtatious interaction all the excitement comes from the hint at any kind of possibility.

# For many teens, the thrill of flirting is simply receiving attention. In order to get that attention, you have to give it too. Use non-verbal signs- eye contact, standing just a little closer than normal, facing the person when when he or she is speaking.

# There occurs no magic pick up lines. It is entirely up to you to figure out what kind of conversation he might enjoy. Complimenting his shirt is perfectly ok in the right context, and better than a line that sounds rehearsed.
