When teenagers are dating someone for quite sometime, there comes a point when they realize that they would no longer want to continue with the current relationship. They think of ways to make it possible. They do not want to hurt their partner much since they are the one who feel that way. They don’t know how to disclose this to their mate. There could be plenty of reasons to initiate the break-up. When teens feel that the break-up is inevitable then they should end it immediately rather than delaying it unnecessarily and causing more pain later. If you have decided to break up then do not start dating someone else before breaking up with your partner. Your mate would feel cheated then.
If you feel that you are with the wrong person then it is about time to put an end to the relationship. The way you choose to go about it should involve as little drama as possible, do not hurt your mate intentionally. Remember you had once been a part of his/her life. Therefore respect that fact and break-up gracefully.
Tell your mate in person that you do not wish you continue with the relationship. Give your reasons for it. Give your mate a chance to speak too. It’s obviously that your partner would ask you questions, be prepared to answer them all with honesty. If you are honest about what you feel then your partner might feel sad at first but later on would respect you for your honesty. Your mate would feel sad, depressed, and even angry so be prepared to face it. You have to be strong to deal with such a situation.
